About Us
Out On A Limb Dance Company engages the
creativity and talents of dancers who share a common belief
that dance is meant to entertain and touch the lives of audiences
and dancers alike.
Our dance company presents the opportunity
for young dancers to work with professional dancers and choreographers
throughout the year. Professional mentoring of young dancers
will help prepare the next generation of performers for their
careers in an atmosphere that is nurturing and supportive,
rather than competitive.

Our Mission
To provide a healthy, supportive and creative atmosphere for
young dancers. To offer a well-rounded dance program as well
as professional performance opportunities. To foster the self-esteem
that is crucial to developing resilient children. To bring
the transforming experience of dance to at-risk and underserved
youth by encouraging them to explore their unique abilities
outside of the traditional classroom curriculum.

The Training Program
Out On A Limb's training program provides the classes and
support an aspiring performer needs to build strength and
confidence. All classes are taught by professional instuctors
in a nurturing class environment.
We offer classes in:
- Ballet and Pointe
- Tap
- Lyrical and Contemporary
- Jazz and Musical Theatre Dance
- Beginner Combination Classes (ages 6-9
and ages 10+)
- Hip Hop
- Repertoire and Choreography
- Karate
- Fundamentals (ages 3-5)

The Outreach Program
Out On A Limb Dance Company gives children in grades 3 through
12 an opportunity to experience the joy, discipline, and artistic
beauty of dance - regardless of the cultural or socioeconomic
challenges they may face.

Student Showcase and Performing Arts Ensemble
(PAE) Show Each year. Out On A limb Dance Company & School
presents a performance created in Repertoire (REP) classes
for Performing Arts Ensemble students and a Student Showcase
involving all OOAL students. These performances allow students
the opportunity to grow their performing experience and showcase
their own talent and choreography. They learn more about the
process of creating a show beyond the dancing to creating
the program to costuming and lighting.
