Class Descriptions

Level 7: Advanced classes geared toward ages 16 and up. Ballet, pointe, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 6: Advanced classes geared toward ages 15 and up. Ballet, pointe, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 5: Advanced Intermediate classes geared toward ages 13 and up. Ballet, pointe, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 4: Intermediate classes for dancers who are en pointe, geared toward ages 11-13. Ballet, pointe, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 3: Intermediate classes for dancers not yet en pointe, geared toward ages 9-13. Ballet, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 2: Advanced Beginning classes geared toward ages 7-10. Ballet, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 2A: Beginning/Advanced Beginning classes geared toward ages 7-10.  Level 2A students should take both Tap/Jazz and Ballet as a transition from Ages 7-9 Beginning Dance to Level 2.  Ballet, tap and jazz shoes required. 
Level 1: Beginning class geared toward ages 5-8. Level 1 students should take both ballet and tap/jazz. Ballet and tap shoes required. 

Creative Movement (ages 3-4): Combination class offering beginning concepts of ballet, tap and jazz, counting music and creative movement. Students must be out of diapers. Ballet and tap shoes required. Any color dance clothes. Hair should be back.

Beginning Dance (classes offered for age 3 and up): Combination class offering the fundamentals of ballet, tap, jazz, counting music and creative movement. Ballet and tap shoes required. Any color dance clothes. Hair should be back.

Men's Class: Geared toward male dancers ages 9 and up with or without previous dance experience.

Acro: Focus on acrobatic movement that would be used in choreography to enhance the development of characters generally found in dance theatre productions. Bronze, silver, and gold levels offered. Level placement determined by instructor.

Beginning Hip Hop: Beginning level hip hop class geared toward students ages 8 and up with or without experience.

Musical Theater: Combines jazz technique with other genres to create a "Broadway" style of dance that is instrumental in the development of characterization through movement.  

Acting/Musical Theater Voice: Learn the basic tools to be confident singing and acting through an audition for a musical theater production.

Recreational Ballet/Jazz: Intermediate class for pre-teen and teen students taking dance once/week as a recreational activity.  Ballet shoes required.
